Beginner guide

How to make your first faceless Reel.

A step-by-step walkthrough. No experience needed — from typing an idea to downloading a finished MP4 in about 5 minutes.

  1. 1

    Start with an idea

Sign up, click Create Reel, and type a one-line topic — for example "3 unsolved ocean mysteries". You don't need a script. Pick a length (15s, 30s, or 60s) and a tone like mysterious, energetic, or chill.

    • Shorter topics work better than long paragraphs
    • Pick 30s if you're unsure — it's the sweet spot
  2. 2

Set the visual guide (optional but powerful)

The Visual Continuity Guide tells the AI what every scene should look like — main character, location, color palette, lighting, camera style. The same details get reused across every scene so your reel feels like one piece, not five random clips.

    • Leave it blank to let the AI choose — you can edit later
    • Editing the guide and saving will rebuild the whole reel with the new look
  3. 3

    AI writes your script

FacelessFlow generates a hook, the voiceover script, and breaks it into scenes — each with its own image prompt, on-screen text, and timing. You can read and tweak everything before generation runs.

    • The hook is the first 2 seconds — it's what stops the scroll
  4. 4

    Scene videos are generated

For each scene, AI generates a short cinematic video clip based on the prompt and your visual guide — with motion, camera movement, and atmosphere, not a still picture. If a clip doesn't look right, you can regenerate just that scene or rerun all of them from the project page.

    • Watch the progress bar — each video clip takes a bit longer than a still
  5. 5

    Voiceover is recorded

A studio-grade AI voice reads your script in the tone you picked. Pacing is matched to the scene durations so audio and visuals line up.

    • You can swap the voice from the series settings later
  6. 6

    Captions appear automatically

Word-perfect captions are generated and styled for vertical video — bold, readable, optimized for sound-off scrolling.

    • ~85% of short-form viewers watch with sound off — captions matter
  7. 7

    Render the final reel

When all assets are ready, click Open Render. FacelessFlow stitches the scenes, voiceover, captions, and music into a single 9:16 MP4.

    • First render takes ~1–2 minutes — grab a coffee
  8. 8

    Download and post

Hit download to grab your MP4 (no watermark on Creator and Pro plans). Upload it straight to Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.

    • Post times that work: 7–9am and 6–9pm in your audience's timezone
